This was a bittersweet reunion. David's uncle has a farm in Kettle Falls, Washington, called Buck's Ridge. Shortly before we moved to Seattle, David's grandmother, Betty, had joined two of her sons at the farm, moving from Florida. Everything was going really well until Grandma Betty started to become absent minded. After some tests, doctors discovered a fast growing tumor in her brain. Too old and frail for surgery, though still with plenty of spunk, it was time to enjoy her final days. Upon hearing the news, we decided to hop in the car and go give Grandma Betty some big hugs. We assumed at the time, and it came to pass, that this was our last time spent with sweet Grandma B. Loved her.
Grandma Betty stayed inside to rest and nap while we explored the farm most of the day. I have a few undeveloped photos from our wonderful dinner all together at the table. Otherwise, we only have these sweet iPhone photos of Grandma B from that day:
And some extra iPhone shots:
It was a really special day.
Blessings,
Kallie
