A Real Pumpkin Patch

One of the things we started realizing this year in the pacific northwest is that people actually do some work to get their holiday decorations. It's amazing. In Florida, you drive up to a church yard or the grocery store, stand and look at your options all laid out in rows, pick one up, and pay. Here, you get one your wellies and coats, go hiking through fields of spiny vies, and get your hands dirty. I love it!
Though we're quite past Halloween now, these pumpkins are still going strong on our front porch.

Lifestyle - Monica and Calvin Engagement

I am super excited to share with you this beautiful fall engagement session at the Japanese Garden located within the Washington Park Arboretum. The seasons here are truly hard to beat. Tulips, peonies, lavender, and then the beautiful changing colors of the leaves throughout fall. It's the perfect backdrop for such a cute couple. We were even lucky with the weather. It was pouring rain the day before and after, but we just had a little mist and a mild temperature for the photoshoot. Perfect.

I'm so glad Monica and Calvin came down from Vancouver for our session. They were such lovely clients, and I'm happy to call them my new friends!

Sequim Lavender

Happy December! This year has just zoomed by. I can't believe we're nearing the end. So much has happened, including a lovely adventurous weekend to Sequim (pronounced without the e), Washington, to see the lavender fields and then a quick jaunt on a ferry to spend a night in Victoria, BC. Here is part 1, the lavender. Be sure you stick around for the last photo! :)



















So much of the landscape here reminds me of France. It's so beautiful.
