Som and Tik Preview
One random day, I received a very kind wedding inquiry about a wedding in Thailand. I chuckled, wondering what kind of hoax could come out of that, and very cautiously responded with my normal information, just in case. I remember laughing with David about the "what if's". Well, it turned out that Som and Tik were genuine people, and it would be the start of a wonderful new relationship and adventure. Just a week before David moved to Seattle, we boarded a plane for Thailand, squeezing in a vacation to Bangkok ahead of the wedding. You've seen our Bangkok travels, and now it's time to show you this incredible traditional Thai wedding. Well, almost. Here is a little teaser of the bride and groom. The rest is soon to come.

Mount Rainier
Some of my all-time favorite photos of my two favorite people. Paradise Point at the end of April.
a pep talk.
As usual, our day ended in tickle tackles. Also snowball fights that made glasses go flying (points for me!)
The drive was awesome. Plus some silly footage:

A Cypress Albums Suite
Cypress Albums are always so stunning. I always love photographing them so you can imagine what it would be like to hold one in your hands. I wish you could feel the weight, and experience the excitement of having such a gorgeous heirloom to pass down from generation to generation.
This particular suite includes an Iris Book with Presentation Box, an extra Presentation Box for wedding keepsakes, both with accent ribbon, and a Disc Folio. It was for a special album-design customer, so I did not take the images that were in the book.
As with all of my album designs, I wanted to be sure to tell their story. I asked them to tell me about their day. Were there any extra special people, special moments? And then I went to work. I never hire a third party to design my albums. I want every one to be meticulous, a perfect reflection of a very special day.
It takes more time, granted. But the final outcome is always worth it.
A custom-designed Iris Book album is always available to my clients, new and old. You can create your own suite with multiple albums, documenting your growing family: your engagement, wedding, pregnancy, family portraits, birthdays. It's the best way to have your memories printed, in a safe place, to tell your story. Plus, the fabrics, ribbons, and craftsmanship are absolutely gorgeous.
Send me a message for more information. :)

Tulip Town, Mount Vernon
We couldn't believe it when we heard that Washington grows tulips second in the world to the Netherlands. It must be true, as one of Mount Vernon's tulip farms owns the website tulips.com. But we wanted to see for ourselves. These photos were taken the week before the Skagit Tulip Festival at a farm called Tulip Town. We then drove around Mount Vernon, mesmerized by fields of daffodils.
