The Tschopp Family

It's always so wonderful when photography brings me back together with an old friend. I was so excited when Jenn, a friend from college, contacted me about doing big group family photos at Christmastime. Her family was so nice (and cute!), and her mom kept me laughing. It was a great time, though cold and windy, in Florida.

Our Family Photos by Kate Headley

It's a little sad and embarrassing when you take family photos as a profession and have never had any of your own. It's not that we - David, Tova, and I - have zero photos of the three of us. Sure, I'll pass my Contax off to my dad from time to time and we'll all stand together, smile, and say, "cheese!" And as you well know, I document our life plenty. But we've never had professional family photos taken of us, until last month.

After Kate Headley contacted me about assisting her for a Florida wedding, a light bulb went off in my head one day. It was before David was offered his new job at World Vision, so it seemed easy - while Kate was in Florida, we could set up a family session with her. No problem. Then David got his new job and we were moving.

David left on December 3rd, and Tova and I would wait until after the wedding with Kate, over a month later. After a lot of pushing on my end, David was able to fly back to Florida for that weekend, take family photos with us, be with T while I worked, and rush back to Seattle. It was our 5 year anniversary. And Tova's 3rd birthday was the next day. I'm so grateful for that quick, hectic trip, and for Kate's photos. Especially at such a huge apex in our lives, these photos will always mean so very much to us. Thanks, Kate.

You'd never know T got the stomach flu the next day, right!?

Victoria's Lifestyle Shoot

I hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day! Ours was very cute. Tova went on a date with her daddy. They got all dressed up and went for a milkshake at a diner after dinner. This weekend, we're taking Tova to a Fancy Nancy ballet. It's a surprise. She's going to flip out. If you'd like to see pictures, you can follow my Instagram feed here: http://instagrid.me/kalliebrynn.

Before our move, I had the pleasure of meeting a fellow Florida photographer and taking her headshots in Lakeland. We had a great time getting to know each other. And then the next day, she got engaged! A huge CONGRATULATIONS, Victoria!

Her outfit is so cute. And that red lipstick!? Perfect. Oh how I love red on film.
